Women Tech Motivators Series

This second episode of the Women Tech Motivators Series is with Alana Karen who is an award-winning tech leader, author, and speaker. Alana has been at Google for 17 years and has taken on many roles from Google search, to ads, to google grants, and more! She has inspired many young women to pursue the field, and recently published her book, “The Adventures of Women in Tech: How We Got Here and Why We Stay”.

This first interview of the Women Tech Motivators Series is with Dr. Jandelyn Plane who is the director of the Maryland Center for Women in Computing and works in the department of computer science and cybersecurity. She has taken part in many international projects in the ffield of computer science. Dr. Plane worked to create the CompSciConnect program at UMD where the purpose is to empower young women in the field of technology by introducing them to various aspects of what the technology field entails.
